Inscriptions in italic letters on both sides of the stand’s end: “Зарема – балерина Каминская” (Ballet-dancer Kaminskaya as Zarema) and “Скульптор Елена Янсон-Манизер” (Sculptor Yelena Ianson-Manizer); inscriptions in rectangular frames: “КАСЛИ ЗАВ.” (KASLI FOUNDRY) (stamped twice); an inscription in metal in low relief: “БЫКОВ П.” (BYKOV P.).

One of the first cast iron castings of the designer pattern was produced at the Kasli Foundry for the “Artistic cast iron casting exhibition. Sculpture. Architecture” in Moscow(Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in 1940, where it was exhibited in the section “Chamber sculpture”. There is also a version of the same sculpture in porcelain (a pattern of Ianson-Manizer for the Leningrad porcelain factory). The sculpture is one of the rare and most remarkable examples of the Soviet version of the European Art Deco style. V. I. Kaminskaya (1907-1981) was a famous Soviet ballet dancer and ballet-mistress, performer of the part of Zarema, a character in the ballet by B. Asafyev “The Fountain of Bakhchisaray” (based on the poem by Pushkin with the same name).
