An inscription in italic letters on the earth: “Бар. Клодтъ” (Baron Klodt); inscriptions in rectangular frames: “КАС.З.1908” (KASLI FOUNDRY 1908), “Г.ТЕПЛЯКОВЪ” (G.TEPLYAKOV); a round imprint with the Russian double-headed eagle.
Note
The original name of the pattern was “A gunner”. In the late 19th - early 20th centuries, the equestrian sculpture was actively replicated at the Kasli Foundry under catalogue orders. The pattern of the cast iron sculpture “A gunner astride”, as well as the equestrian sculpture “A horse guard at the watering place” was created in the 1830s. It is believed that both items are the earliest works of a famous Russian sculptor and founder P. K. Klodt.
