Note
The artistic and technical quality of the genre composition and its subject matter are typical of the Kasli Foundry items produced in the post-war period. According to a word-of-mouth legend circulating among the Ural cast iron antique experts, the sculptural composition was cast at the Kasli Foundry as a limited edition in the early 1960s. It was a government order for gifts intended for representatives of the Soviet Communist party governing establishment. No brands were put on custom order castings. The item is also known under a different name: “Lenin and workers’ school students”.
